Predictions for Baylor-OSU, Tech-ISU, SMU-Temple and extra

While Week 8 may not have the high-end matchups that last week’s slate boasted, there’s no shortage of big games involving local schools this weekend.

SMU will host Temple in a game that almost brought ESPN’s College GameDay to Dallas this weekend, and will have major implications in both the AAC standings and in the race for the Group of 5′s berth to the Cotton Bowl.

Texas A&M will travel to Oxford to take on Ole Miss in a game that both schools desperately need to win.

TCU will travel to Manhattan to take on Kansas State in a matchup that boasts the tightest betting line of the weekend involving a local school.

Texas Tech will look to get the sour taste of last weekend’s controversial loss to Baylor out of its mouth as it hosts Iowa State. And Baylor will try to stay unbeaten as it travels to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State.

Plus, both Texas and Oklahoma will host overmatched Big 12 foes as they try to kickstart the post-Red River Showdown portions of their schedules.
