downtown has gotten really nice but dont stay there. ive lived in LA all my like 35 years. Hollywood is ok during the day but avoid at night. i say start on the east and head westward as the day ends. westside is normally safer

I grew up in Pico-Union and I agree, it's still a fucking war zone, it's calmed down, but nevertheless it's still fucked up, I do visit there often, but it's close friends and family!

  3. Nishat Anjum says:

Also, keep in mind that people don't signal before changing lanes, so you need to stay focused at all times on the road. You might get hit by a Porsche or a Maserati if you aren't too careful! 😆 And the water is bad for your hair, I mean it might be good for drinking and all, but it's really bad for your hair. Maybe it's a personal opinion, but it might be true for you as well. Also, the nights get a little chilly, so you gotta have all kinds of clothes, not just shorts and plain t-shirts.

  4. Nishat Anjum says:

I'm vacationing in LA right now and staying at my uncle's house in West Hills. You definitely forgot to mention how far these places are from one another. I mean, you made it look like Hollywood to Downtown is 10 mins! Lol. It's NOT. And don't go out during the weekends! It's INSANE! And the climate is super super super dry compared to the tropics, so you need to moisturize a LOT and use sunscreen at ALL TIMES( except of course when you're in a cool air-conditioned house 😛). California is super sunny, and it's gonna "burn" you. It will!

  5. mji245 says:

I am glad that you mention Uber/Lyft.
Are you saving up to visit L.A for less than 2 weeks? Then put a budget ($100-$300 maximum) for Uber XL/Lyft with 6 passengers.

Why rent a car? You just saw in the video (and it's very true) that ordinary places charge $10 for parking! When you rent a car you have to drive in atrocious traffic, worry about the car getting damaged or stolen, and pay for its rental and gas money. Plus, if you are dealing with a crooked rental company they'll make up complaints about damages that you need to pay. Be smart and use Uber/Lyft, it's very cheap in California.

  6. Siamak Atabaiky says:

Hollywood’s Safe? Lmao 😆 I think you need help Hollywood is like a pretty dangerous place at might so it’s so “safe” isn’t it -.- wrong if u wanna be safe lol you should move to Long Beach Redondo Beach Manhattan Beach and Hermosa beach those are really good places to live in in LA also Pasadena and Santa Monica if you want a cheap place go ahead and live in the valley or Tarzan a if you wanna love somewhere rough fancy and all that shit go ahead to west LA Westwood downtown LA and Beverly Hills if you want to live cheap and totally unfavorable go to Florence
